  • Founder & Director

    I found my passion for events in my first job out of university, where I was able to work on numerous events (including some gala dinners that had over 1500 people).

    From there I fell in love with all different types of events but wanted to try something more niche, and after working on a shoot with a bridal dress, I decided I wanted to work with brides and grooms. So I took a job in the wedding industry and haven’t looked back since. My experiences make me the planner I am today as I have knowledge of the vendor side, the design side, the planner’s side, and the venue side.

    Having been in the industry now for over 6 years and planning or being involved in numerous weddings, I finally took the plunge in 2020 and finally decided to officially set up TOAST. I am so excited to be part of couples special day and make it a stress-free experience from start to finish.

    Bex has been with TOAST since the beginning, with her own impressive CV within events we are so lucky to have her. Bex brings a fresh perspective and a whole lot of epic ideas.

  • Day of Coordinator

    Laura joined the team in 2021 and brings with her a degree in events and a positive attitude. Laura is our can-do girl and will make anything possible so you never have to stress!

    Based in Whangamata, Laura has set up and run a few small businesses, including a shared office space, visitor accommodation, and commercial property management. She now has a one year old daughter, so being organised is super important to her. 

    When Laura lived in Auckland she studied event management and loved the different events she worked with, including the Aotearoa Music Awards, Pink Ribbon Breakfast, and planning her own wedding and she loves being part of our TOAST couples special days.
